Hearth Hot Buttered Rum

Hot buttered rum is rich, sweet and warming, and it is the drink for a cold afternoon with the whole family around. The spiced butter is made ahead and keeps for a week, so each mug is a spoonful and a pour. It is the best bit of a winter gathering.
