A lemon drop is sweet and sour in the exact balance of a good lemonade, and just as easy to drink. A splash of pomegranate turns it a pretty rose colour. Rim the glasses first and put them in the freezer.

What you'll need

4 oz vodka (120 ml)
1 oz orange liqueur (30 ml)
2 oz fresh lemon juice (60 ml)
1 oz pomegranate juice (30 ml)
1 oz simple syrup (30 ml)

How to make it

Rub a lemon wedge around the rim of each glass and dip in sugar. Chill them.
Shake all the liquids with ice for 12 seconds.
Strain into the glasses and add a lemon twist.
Glass: Two chilled martini glasses. Garnish: A sugared rim and a lemon twist.
